THE SNOWSLAYER BRAND OF SNOW REMOVAL TOOLS HAS A LOCAL MANUFACTURING HISTORY.
We have been manufacturing the SNOWSLAYER EDGE since 1998 when first invented by Bill and Michael Reiger of Rockyford Alberta. This father and son team spent many years perfecting the right materials to construct what was back then called the ‘Ultralife’ edge. They originally created product to help with the costs of maintaining their own snow removal company.
They soon discovered many other snow removal companies were interested in the long lasting durable “Ultralife” edge because they were finding that their shovels were lasting 10-20 times longer.
Some crews were wearing out their regular shovels in a day with all the sites and large number of crews they had – but with the edge attached, the same shovels were now lasting 3 months!
Years later, the business was left to Michael’s only daughter Lisa Subelack who renamed and re-launched the company to what it is today, SNOWSLAYER.
